That first ride after being off a while
Those of you who ride daily, hot or cold, rain or shine, might have your bragging rights... but we fair weather riders have our own moment in the sun.
It is the intense and unequaled joy of that first ride after a long stint off the bike. The weather today is perfect. The pollen count is down. I figured I was out of excuses for not riding. The Warrior fired on the first lick, despite the starter sounding far weaker than usual. Another good sign. I took residential streets to the gas station, where I filled up the tires and got some fresh unleaded in the tank. I then proceeded to take a leisurely ride out by the lake and then back home. It wasn't a long ride, but judging by how I feel now, it was exactly what I needed. No more, no less.

Tried to go out and have a dead battery ;o( Got a Battery Tender to charge it and it is so low it wont accept the charge. Looks like I need to go out and buy a new one....or get one online. Any online suggestions for a battery replacement? Is there any reason in need to get an oem Yusa battery?

If you want someone to ride with, I now have plenty of time to ride... (i.e. my entire company got laid off last Thursday... )

sucks about the lay-off, but a little riding time can't hurt, eh?
