I got a reply... turns out the 260 that chatterbox's web page is for the unit only.... it's 400 for the unit with all the wiring for a full face helmet.

so there it's a fuck'n bad ass discount.

Here are the retail prices:

X1 Bluetooth $ 260 each (retail $400)

has anyone tried these with a motocross style type of helmet? does the wind affect it a lot?

I've heard the wind will fuck with it if you've got it on the mode where you just talk. so they say if your doing an open face helmet you're pretty much stuck wth push to talk mode.

I'm still interested... but I'm gonna have to wait till begining of April.
